The resume is the first thing an employer will see when considering you for a job. This is your first chance to impress them with who you are and what you are capable of. The problem is there is a probably a stack of resumes a mile high you have to contend with. This is why you need every possible opportunity to make sure your resume will stand out from the rest of the pack.
Give Yourself a More Descriptive Title
The title of the job you worked in the past was Account Manager. This is not very eye grabbing. If you are looking to work in a job which is in a technical field and your old job was in a technical field, take this opportunity to use a descriptive title like ‘Technologies Account Manager’. This shows your potential employer you have the ability to fill the position they have available with past history.

It is a mistake to print out a stack of resumes to hand out all over town. If you are applying for a job, the resume should highlight all of the ways you are perfect for the job. This is impossible if you have created your resume for any general position which might be open.
Use Powerful Words
People reading resumes do not have a lot of time. You need to use language which is going to grab their attention and tell them you are the right candidate for the job. Avoid general descriptions and use words which show you possess leadership ability and intellect at the same time.
